Park or walk to either the Toby Creek Parking Lot near the Alumni House or Park at the Public Library Overflow Parking Lot.  Lot for orange flagging hanging from the trees to guide you to the course.
Sneakers or boots are required footware and dress for the cold weather.  It is better to dress in many layers rather than one bulky layer.  If in the event of rain, please revisit this website for any cancellations.

Volt Meeting


Come join Venture for the VOLT MEETING on
Wednesday, February 17th from 6pm - 9pm. 
We will be meeting at the Venture office in Cone Building.  Come for a bit, stay for the whole thing, leave early if you have too but come hang out with a bunch of wonderful, like minded people who enjoy Venture and what it has to offer.  If you are unable to attend, just pop by our office anytime during the semester in room 225 Cone Building.  Just look for the yellow kayak pointing to our door.

Venture provides a variety of enriching outdoor leadership experiences in the way of Adventure Trips, Low & High Challenge Courses (aka ropes courses), and the Indoor Climbing Wall throughout the year. Venture also provides programs for non-university groups, including experience based training and development programs (team building programs) for business clientele.

   Through Venture's website there are now four "newsletters" you may be interested in subscribing to:

If you want to subscribe to any of them, simply go to Venture website http://venture.uncc.edu/ scroll down the page on the left hand column and see the three blocks of different newsletters to subscribe to and insert your email address. You can subscribe or unsubscribe
anytime!!

Venture Newsletter - is intended for the general folks interested in receiving updates to Venture's happenings. This will be sent out about once a month and include announcements of adventure trips, trainings, workshops, biographies of Venture staff. Everyone should want to subscribe to this newsletter.
Volt Staff Updater - is intended for the student staff of Venture directly involved with Venture. Anyone can subscribe to this, however the emails will pertain mostly to the current semester student staff working for Venture. The newsletters will include announcements of upcoming Challenge Course programs and staffing needs, Climbing Wall or Adventure Trips related topics along with the reminders of Volt Meetings or other special events impacting Venture.
Climbing Updater - is intended for climbers to be updated of special events such as trainings, workshops occurring at the UNC Charlotte Indoor Climbing Wall including announcements of unexpected wall closings for open climb times. This newsletter will also serve as an announcement for climbing competitions hosted around the state of North Carolina.
Adventure Trip Alerts - Simple newsletter alerts to let you know about an upcoming trip so you don't miss out on the action.
