Sarah grew up in New York State and has loved the outdoors ever since she was a child. She graduated from Boston University in 2000 with a BS in Health Studies.  Her love for college outdoor programming grew from working with the Quest program at Bloomsburg University, PA. She received her Master’s in Recreation Administration from East Carolina University where she taught academic classes in outdoor activities and worked with the ECU Adventure Program. She has also instructed canoeing and backpacking courses with the Hurricane Island Outward Bound School in Maine. Before finding the perfect job, Scott wandered up and down the East Coast and into the Midwest experiencing different outdoor programs. His adventures started in Southern Virginia where he received his Bachelors in Recreation and Leisure Services studying Outdoor Recreation and Recreation Management from Radford University. He then journeyed to Northern Virginia spending his time in various outdoor retail establishments so he could purchase some "toys." From there he headed south to Florida State University (GOOOOO SEMINOLES!!) where he earned his Masters in Recreation Administration before heading off to Wisconsin. In the great Midwest he worked in a itty bitty town called Williams Bay (breathtaking!) working for O.W.L.S. (Outdoor Wisconsin Leadership School) providing and gaining challenge course experience. Answering the call to return to the East Coast, Scott traveled back to Northern Virginia where he taught in a public school helping children with severe disabilities. Now he brings his experience to the Venture program at UNC Charlotte where he has been happily working with big goofy grins each day.

On his own time, following his motto: "Life is NOT a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, throughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming ...WOW, WHAT A RIDE!! -unknown" he continues to chase his hobbies of Mountain Biking, Off Road Triathlons, Adventure Racing and Rock Climbing.  He completed his personal life desire dare of the Chicago Marathon in the fall of 2006 so stay tuned to see what he's up for 2008!!
