Congaree Paddling Trip

Discover the largest remnant of old-growth floodplain forest remaining on the continent as you paddle a canoe or kayak through Congaree National Park. Enter a unique habitat of large Baldcypress and Water Tupelo trees draped with Spanish Moss.  Experience primitive leave-no-trace camping and then enjoy another day of paddling.

Registration for trips is taken on a first come first served basis at the Venture Office located in the Cone University Center. To complete your registration, you will need to pay the trip fees (cash or check are accepted), fill out a registration card, and complete a medical history form. Registration is taken up until the day before the pre-trip meeting. Attending the pre-trip meeting is required for all participants. During this meeting you will get to meet everyone going on the trip and discuss the trip details including: personal and group goals, itinerary & departure time, menu planning and things to bring. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please let us know, as we may be able to accommodate some situations.
