Outdoor Equipment Rentals
Venture offers a variety of outdoor equipment for rent. Check the policies first, then look below for a list of items available and rental rates.
Equipment rental is located in the Venture Office which is located in the Cone University Center.
Rental Policies
1. Only UNC Charlotte students, faculty and staff are eligible to rent outdoor equipment.
2. Reservations are encouraged and accepted a week in advance. A rental deposit is required for advance reservations.
3. Rental rates are determined as follows:
- Daily = 24 hour period (Monday - Friday)
- Weekend = Friday - Monday
- Week = 7 days
4. There is a 48 hour advance reservation required for boat rentals. All boat renters must be pre-approved by a Venture professional staff member.
5. Daily rental rates will apply for each business day the equipment is late past the due date.
6. Users or groups will be assessed a fee or penalty for lost equipment, or if equipment is returned dirty, wet or damaged.
Late Return Fee
Late return fee is equal to the daily rental rate times the number of day's late.
Boat Rental
Boat rentals include accessory items such as PFD, spray skirt, paddle and helmet. The Renter must be aware that boating can be dangerous; that extreme care should be exercised, and that the use of this equipment is in no way part of a Venture sponsored program.
