2. Foundational Training
Complete either VOLT Foundations or KNES 1231 (Introduction to Outdoor Adventures) to get the foundational knowledge necessary to fully understand what it means to be part of an outdoor leadership program.
3. Apply to be an Apprentice
The first level of employment with Venture Outdoor Leadership, this unpaid position gives you the opportunity to begin specializing in your preferred program area (e.g. High Team Challenge, rock climbing, backpacking, etc.) through classes, training, and participation in programs.
The second level of employment, this paid position gives you the opportunity to directly facilitate and lead groups under the supervision of Lead staff.
The third level of employment, this paid position gives you the opportunity to begin teaching and mentoring Instructors and Apprentices.
